2 Sessions Tuesday, September 4 at 5:30 & 6:30
Please don't miss this very important event!
Meet your children's teachers and learn about what they will be doing
this year and how you can help your child have a successful year!
While you are there be sure to pick up the Annual Background Check
and the Volunteer Registration Form & Signature Page from the Volunteer
Handbook. An Annual Background check is required by the district for all
volunteers who will be working with children this includes field trips
and class parties.

Summer Born to Read Journals due August 31
Don't forget to bring your "Born to Read" summer reading journal back to
school by August 31. All of you who went Hog Wild reading over the
summer will be invited to a celebration in the library.

We couldn't do it without you!
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who made the Back-to-School
preparation and Back-to-School Sale so successful and painless!
Thank you to Acsa Buening and her hardworking team of volunteers for
preparing teacher materials for back to school last Thursday. They will
continue to support our teachers each Tuesday morning in the Volunteer
room. So stop by and help when you can. It is a lot of fun and it really
helps our teachers!
Thank you to Mitzi Trentel and all the volunteers who showed up to
help with the preparation of 1st Day Packets and set up for our
Back-School-Sale last Friday.
Thank you to everyone who made this year's Back-to- School sale the
smoothest run ever! Thank you to Monica Rearick and Mollie Kim for
coordinating School Supply Sales, Karen Fischer for Yearbook and working
as cashier, Lea Point with Dana Savage and Kay Mathews for coordinating
our Spirit Wear sales, Ann Beltran for doing such a fast job updating
our Database, and Shirley and Brian Johnson and Sakina Mithwani for
coordinating Membership and greeting our Kent Famlies! There were many
more unnamed volunteers who worked and made things run so well - THANK
YOU to you all!
An finally, thank you to our Hospitality Chairs, Beverly Wilcocks and
Heather kline and their team for a sweet treat at YaHoos! and BooHoos!
on the first day of school!
