investigating the scientific process. We congratulate these students for
following through with this learning endeavor. We are anxious to see the
high quality work that our Kent Cardinals are producing!

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. Projects will not be accepted after 8:10

featuring 2nd Grade Seussical Musical
Please join us for a brief PTA Meeting followed by the Science Fair
Awards, the district level Reflections Awards recipients and a very
special performance by the 2nd Grade.
"Horton Hears a Who" is coming out on the big screen in March. But
first it will be presented by the Kent Cardinal 2nd graders at our
February 12th PTA Meeting. Come join the fun as Horton protects the town
of Whoville, because "A Person's A Person No Matter How Small"! And, you
won't want to miss the song, "Green Eggs and Ham"!
Come support our 2nd graders in their Seussical musical, 7:00 PM
February 12.

Help Recognize Our Kent Volunteers
There is still time to nominate a deserving parent volunteer from each
grade for the Karen Guttierrez Volunteer Award. This award has been
named in memory of Karen Guttierrez, and is given each year to one
volunteer per grade level who exemplifies the true spirit of
volunteering for our Kent community.
An additional parent volunteer will receive the 5th Grade Lyn Johnston
Volunteer Award, which is given to one dedicated 5th grade volunteer.
The awards are based on a combination of the following:
Number or nominations received
Overall contributions at Kent
Volunteer hours logged on the School Check-In system
Award recipients will be announced on March 12 at the reception
following Open House.
To submit a nomination please complete the nomination form and turn in
to your child's teacher or the front office by Friday, February 22. If
you prefer you may send your nominations by e-mail to volunteer@kentpta.org.
If you have any questions, please contact Christi Victor at
214-995-2538.
Thank you for taking the time to nominate someone for these very special
awards!
